Our aims and objectives:
To advance equality, social justice and cohesion for the benefit of a cohesive society by raising awareness of the cultural and racial diversity within Luton and beyond: through lectures, conferences, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, information and advice of African and Caribbean history and culture.
In order to further our objects we will work :
(a) to influence the strategic planning of the public and private sector ensuring that BME communities are given equal access to services.
(b) To act as a delivery agent for both private and public sector in areas such as housing, education, health and social care with the aim of encouraging and promoting BME organisations as partners and the promotion of good relations, between all groups and or individuals in society;
(c) to give information, advice and support of non-financial nature to individuals and organisations where such information, advice and support is not readily obtainable from other organisations. |
